1. Information We Don't Collect

We do not collect:

• Audio data: All audio processing happens locally on your Mac. No audio is ever sent to our servers or any third-party services.
• Personal information: We don't require an account. We don't collect names, emails, or any personal data to use SoundVeil.
• Usage telemetry: We don't track how you use the app, what features you use, or how often you use them.
• Device information: We don't collect information about your Mac, system configuration, or hardware.

2. How SoundVeil Works

SoundVeil uses an ML model (DTLN - Dual-Signal Transformation LSTM Network) that runs entirely on your Mac. The model is bundled with the app and requires no internet connection to function.

At no point does your audio leave your Mac. The processing happens in memory and is never written to disk or transmitted anywhere.

• Audio is captured from your selected microphone
• The ML model processes the audio locally in real time
• Clean audio is sent to the virtual "SoundVeil Mic" device
• Other apps receive the clean audio from this virtual device

3. License Verification

When you purchase a license, we use Polar.sh as our payment processor and license fulfillment provider. Polar collects your email address for license key delivery and your payment information to process the transaction. The license verification process is minimal:

• Your license key is verified once during activation
• No ongoing phone home or periodic verification
• The app works offline after initial activation

4. Website Analytics & Cookies

Our website uses two types of analytics:

You can change your cookie preference at any time by clearing your browser local storage and revisiting the site.

• Umami Analytics: A privacy-friendly analytics service that collects anonymous, aggregated data without cookies. This runs for all visitors and does not track personal information.
• Google Analytics: If you accept cookies via our consent banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. You can decline this at any time, and we will not load Google Analytics or set any tracking cookies.

5. Third-Party Services

The app itself does not integrate with any third-party services. Your audio and usage data stays on your device.

Payment Processing: When you purchase a license, we use Polar.sh as our sole third-party payment processor and license fulfillment provider. To complete your transaction, the following information is collected and processed directly by Polar:

Polar.sh is the only third-party service that receives your personal or payment information. We do not have access to your full payment details. This information is collected directly by Polar and is subject to their Privacy Policy.

• Email address (for license key delivery and purchase receipts)
• Payment information (credit card or other payment method details)

6. Data Security

Since we do not collect your data, there is nothing to secure on our end. Your audio is processed in memory on your Mac and is never stored permanently or transmitted.

7. Children's Privacy

SoundVeil does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page.
