How is this different from macOS Voice Isolation?
Voice Isolation can help when there is steady noise like fans or lawnmowers. In louder environments like cafes and airports, quite a bit of residual noise still gets picked up. SoundVeil is tuned for tougher environments.
Can SoundVeil work in very noisy environments?
Yes. SoundVeil is designed for noisy environments. For best results, use a wired microphone or any mic positioned close to your mouth. Wireless headset mics can pick up more room noise because they sit farther away. Layer SoundVeil with Voice Isolation for maximum protection.
What applications does this work with?
SoundVeil works system-wide. Any app that uses your microphone, including Zoom, Slack, Teams, Meet, FaceTime, and Discord, will automatically benefit from noise suppression.
Will it reduce my battery life?
It is designed to be lightweight on Apple Silicon. Battery impact depends on your microphone, settings, and session length, but most people won't notice a meaningful difference day to day.
How do you handle my data?
Your audio is 100% private. All processing happens locally on your Mac. No audio data ever leaves your machine except to the person you're calling.
How many devices can I use with a subscription?
One device per license at a time. If you move to a new Mac, deactivate your old device first (see below).
How do I move my license to a new Mac?
To unlink your old device, open SoundVeil Settings, go to License, and click Manage License. Or go straight to the customer portal and log in with the email you used at purchase. Click (×) next to the activation on your old Mac, then enter the same license key on your new machine.
Do I need to log in?
No account is needed during your free trial. When you purchase, just enter your email to look up your license. No passwords to remember.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions and lifetime licenses are managed in the same place. In the app: Settings → License → Manage License. Or open the customer portal to update payment, cancel your subscription, download invoices, or deactivate a device.
